In the spring of 2021, Alec and I visited 2 different National Parks for 6 days. Check out all of our recommendations for these 2 beautiful parks in Northern California below!

  • Three Rivers- cutest Airbnb in a secluded neighborhood just outside of Three Rivers. Beware at night for bats though!

  • Sequoia Coffee Co.- cute, local coffee shop right in the heart of the town with amazing service and & unique coffee flavors.

  • Casa Mendoza- local tex-mex restaurant that is always popping with tasty, authentic food.

  • Big Trees Trail- small circle loop around a meadow but he told us it was a great place to spot a bear eating & sunbathing.

  • Moro Rock- a big staircase, to hike to the top to get a gorg 360 degree view of the park but don't rec if you are afraid of heights.

  • Congress Trail- super easy, relatively flat 2 mile loop that is very shaded and covered in tall trees.

  • General Sherman Tree- located on Congress Trail which is the largest living tree in the world

  • Tokopah Falls- more difficult hike filled with gravel, rocks, and dirt on an uphill windy path but with a beautiful waterfall view at the end.

  • Wawona Chalet at the Redwoods- coolest VRBO in the heart of the forest with a sick fireplace inside the living room.

  • Ahwahnee Hotel- the most beautiful hotel with a breathtaking, all glass dining hall at the foothill of the mountains.

  • Parkside Pizza- cute, local pizza shop right outside the park grounds.

  • Curry Village- the main dining area inside the park grounds filled with restaurants and we ate at Meadow Grille.

  • Mirror Lake- a very long, treacherous hike with beautiful scenery of trees, Half Dome, and lakes all around.

  • Mist Trail- where you hike to Vernal & Nevada Falls. If you go in the spring prepare to get wet!

  • John Muir Trail- steep hike downward from the Mist Trails but much faster than going back down the way you came up.
