Disneyland 2021

Updated: Nov 12, 2022

Our itinerary

  • Went to grab coffee & breaky sandwiches from Mesh Coffee (our new fave local coffee shop!!)

  • Left at 10am to meet the Virden fam at their hotel, SpringHill Suites Anaheim Maingate, to walk over to downtown Disney which opened at 10am.

  • Arrived at the hotel around 10:45am, grabbed our parking pass, & walked over to Downtown Disney.

  • Disney Mickey & friends parking lot opened at 11:30am.

  • Walked through Downtown Disney then headed straight to California Adventure.

  • California Adventure opened at noon for Touch of Disney.

  • First stop- Uncork California for mimosa flights in Paradise Gardens Park! The Pacific, Mojave, & Sierra mimosas were all amazing but the Sierra was by far the fan fave of the group.

  • Next stop- Smokejumpers Grill for the Brisket Mac & cheese + waffle fries in Grizzly Peak.

  • After we went to the Cozy Cone Motel, in Cars Land, for the BEST Chili con Queso Cones + refreshing lemonades.

  • Walked through Cars Land & oohed + aahed at the amazing work of the Imagineers who brought this cartoon to life!

  • Enjoyed margs from Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill in the Pacific Wharf & watched Goofy + Max “go fish” on the dock above us.

  • Walked around Pixar Pier + played some of the pier games (which were free!)

  • Grabbed another Sierra mimosa from Uncork California because it was that delicious.

  • Relaxed in the shade while sipping our drinks & met Coco the marionette from the Disney movie in Paradise Gardens Park area.

  • Walked over to the Avengers Campus & went “on the set” of WandaVision, the new show in Disney+.

  • Wondered around Hollywood Land & headed back to the Paradise Gardens Park area.

  • Grabbed a pretzel & drinks from Sonoma Terrace- Greyhounds for the girls + beers for the boys.

  • Kept hanging out in Wine Country watching the sunset + chatting the evening away!

  • Went back to Route 66 to see all the neon lights turn on at 7:15pm.

  • Took lots of pics there & obsessed over all the beautiful bright lights at night.

  • Then we headed back to Paradise Gardens Park to see Pixar Pier all lit up from across the way.

  • Walked back to Buena Vista Street for Alec's Fluffernutter from Willie's Churros + I got a corn dog from Award Wieners.

  • Left the park around 8:30pm after enjoying an amazing day with delicious food/drinks & great friends!

  • Got home safe & sound around 9:45pm & were exhausted after a full day at the park.

  • And as Mickey would say, “See ya real soon!”

Before heading to the park be sure to check out their webpage, A Touch of Disney, with all the info & details you’ll need to know before you go! Plus download the free Disneyland app onto your phone. To help eliminate unnecessary contact, it is preferred to order food + beverages straight from your mobile device. All you have to do is pick the restaurant + time you’d like to get food from, place & pay for your order online, & wait until the app gives the go-ahead to pick up your food with your order number. You def don’t have to do this but it is the primary & easiest way to get your grub on! Upon arrival, each person is also given a $25 giftcard to use throughout the day on any food + non-alcoholic beverages. So when placing your orders online you can easily tap the gift card option & spend away. However, the gift cards cannot be used on alcohol so be sure to order that separately!
