Congratulations! You just took a pregnancy test and it confirmed that you are having a baby. Whether this was part of the plan or something you have been trying and praying for, it can be a little overwhelming to figure out what your next steps are. So here are the first five things I recommend doing once you find out you are pregnant!
Make a doctor's appointment with an OBGYN in your area.
Order/purchase prenatal vitamins. There are tons of different options when it comes to prenatal vitamins. I ended up going with Rital's prenantals which have been great for me thus far. They offer 2 flavors- mint and lemon and I have heard both are great but I have been loving the lemon!
Adjust your routine accordingly! This includes health/wellness, physical, & mental. Whether that means sleeping in more, working out a little lighter, or changing your diet, it's important to listen to your body and do what is best for you and your baby! Along with changing my diet, I used this website to help me determine if the products I was using (i.e. skincare, haircare, body care, etc.) were safe for the baby or not. Definitely not a necessity just something I chose to do!
Determine how/when you'd like to share the news with family and friends. We waited to do this until after our first doctor's appointment to determine how far along we were and the health of the pregnancy.
